George Konzek George Konzek
In the fall of '75, I went to Pullman for 4 years for my undergraduate degree on an army ROTC scholarship. I competed for WSU in gymnastics, participated in the church choir, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and ROTC, majoring in P.E., minoring in math and coaching. After student teaching at Kennewick H.S., I was WSU's assistant gymnastics coach until going into the army for 4 years of active duty to fulfill my ROTC obligation. While stationed at Ft. Lewis, WA, I married Peggy Colvin on Sept. 11, 1982. Peggy went to Kamiakin, then CWU, and was a 2nd grade teacher in Kennewick before we were married. We have 3 kids: Jeff, born 1983, Danny, born 1985, and Jalynn, born 1987. I received my masters in administration from Portland St. U. in 1987. I have been teaching middle school math and P.E. in the Evergreen school district in Vancouver, WA. since 1984 and coaching middle school gymnastics, flag football, wrestling and golf. Currently, I am the head boys golf and girls gymnastics coach at Evergreen high school while teaching middle school math at Cascade M.S. Peggy teaches kindergarten, Jeff wants to teach in Japan, someday, after graduating from WWU, Danny is on the varsity soccer team and Jalynn is involved in gymnastics and track.

Someday we'll find a photo of Will Will Laegreid
I attended EWSC where I met my wife, Renee, then went on to WSU where I got my DVM and PhD and did a residency in pathology. We moved around the country as opportunities arose, living in Connecticut, Nebraska, and Illinois. Currently we live in Laramie, Wyo., where I am director of the Wyoming State Veterinary Laboratory and head of the Veterinary Sciences Department at the University of Wyoming, and Renee is a history professor. We have two sons, both living in Seattle, giving us an excuse to come back to Washington from time to time. We spend most of our free time camping, hiking, and chasing our dogs around the mountains out here.

Yvonne Ling Yvonne Ling Deshayes
Kurt and I have lived in Placitas, New Mexico, since July 2014. Kurt is retired and I work at home for the UC-Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as Lead Tax Accountant. I go out to the Bay Area every three months for a week or so. Our sons, Jason (Tina) and Bryan (Justine), both live in Albuquerque, and we will have a total of three grandchildren by this Christmas :) Levi, D2 Grandson is due June 25, 2015, and D3 is due December 10. Kurt and I volunteer in our free time, and I still enjoy sewing and quilting.

Meg Lujan Meg Lujan Soldat
Like a lot of other classmates, I, too, graduated from WSU. I had the good fortune of doing my student teaching at an American School in Guadalajara, Mexico, for 3 months in 1980 and then for an additional 8 weeks at the other high school in Richland. However, rather than getting a full-time teaching job, I ended up working at Battelle Memorial Institute in Richland for a variety of reasons too lengthy to get into here! Married Kelvin Soldat (RHS '71) in 1983 and have one son, Tyler, who is now 14 (RHS class of '04). I'm currently a senior license associate of intellectual property at Battelle - and I love my job. I occasionally see other Bombers at work, which is a great way to stay in touch. For fun my family and I like to ski in the winter, bike and hike in the summer and travel.

Gail Maxson Gail Maxson Kay
I am an R.N. and manage a single MD cardiology office in Richland. I have worked with this doctor for the last 30 years. I love the mix of nursing and management, and have really enjoyed my career here. I married J.B. Kay (Pasco ‘72) in 1976. We’ve been happily married for 39 years and live in Kennewick. JB works for Costco, for 27 years, and does a lot of work for local charities. We don’t have children, but are very fortunate to have several nieces and nephews close by. We are lucky to see them frequently and their children are loved and spoiled like grandchildren by us. We enjoy traveling, especially to tropical places. We are ‘summer people,' we love the river, enjoy boating, and relish a hot afternoon floating along. We think the Tri-Cities is a great place to live and appreciate the pace of life here.

Don Millbauer Don Millbauer
After graduating from UW, I stayed in Seattle where I met my wife Chona Burgos. We've been married for 15 years and have one son Greg, now 13. We live in Kirkland and both work in Seattle where I'm the administrative manager for Surgical Services at Harborview Medical Center. All seven of my siblings graduated from RHS - I'm sure Mr. Schauer has fond memories of us. Although my parents retired on the west side of the state, I still have three siblings in the Tri-Cities. I try to visit 2-3 times each year. In my spare time I enjoy sailing, skiing, and hanging out at home.

Christa Moore Christa Moore Kirkendall
After high school I attended CBC and EWU. In 1981 I married Ken Kirkendall, who has two brothers and one sister that graduated from RHS. Ken graduated from Grandview in 1969. In 1983 our son Brandon was born. I also have two step-children. I have lived in Othello, WA since my marriage and am an insurance agent in Othello. I have worked in the insurance profession for 16 years. I make it down to the Tri-Cities very often as my two sisters (Cindy class of 1976 and Cathy class of 1980) still live in Richland, as do my mom and dad. I have gotten used to the small town life of Othello, but have to admit it did take some getting used to! I would enjoy hearing from any classmates from 1975!

Renata Ouren Renata Ouren-Harrod
I've been married to the most wonderful man since 1984. His name is Stan and I have two step-children named Penny & Julli who are both Bomber Alumni. We live in Richland and have two Scotties, Chuckie & Max. I sell real estate and am the Property Manager for Spencer-Kinney on Jadwin Avenue.

Chuck Penny Chuck Penny
Joined the United States Marine Corps out of High School. Married Jill Foust on October 9, 1976. Son (Brandon) born May 3, 1979 in San Diego. Daughter (Jordan) born February 12, 1981 on Adak Island, AK. Transferred into the Army on November 30, 1984 to become an Officer. Spent from September 1, 1990-April 17, 1991 in Iraq/Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm. Received my Business degree from Wayland Baptist University on May 15, 1994. Retired from the Army on February 1, 1996 and became a Government Contractor with the MANTECH Corporation. On September 28, 1998 I became the Purchasing Manager for Watkins Engineers & Constructor at Procter & Gamble in Augusta, Georgia. Life gets better with age, love gets stronger with time and God is always faithful.

Jim Rice Jim Rice
I'm the editor of Sojourners magazine in Washington, D.C., where I've worked since 1982. I've been married since '82 to Dawn Longenecker; we have two grown kids (Jessica and Adam) and a dog, Clyde. I live in a town of 8,000 called Mt. Rainier, Maryland, four blocks from D.C. In 1979, I did my student teaching at Garfield HS in Seattle (where I attended Seattle U), and was an assistant coach (okay, glorified trainer) with the basketball team. I was on the Garfield bench for the state semifinal game against the Bombers. (Richland -- led by Kellerman and Kennedy -- beat Garfield and went on to win the state title.) I get out to the Northwest at least once a year to see members of the Rice family. Last but not least (well, maybe it's least), I'm the webmeister for the Class of 75 Web page.

Jack John "Jack" Schneider
I attended Gonzaga University and Graduated with my B.A. in elementary education, then taught at Jason Lee for two years and then left for Mt. Angel Theological Seminary. I graduated with my M.Div. in 1985 and was ordained an RC priest in June 7, 1985 and was assigned to St. Paul's Cathedral in Yakima. I left the priesthood in April 1987 when it became apparent my liberal views were at odds with church trends in theology. Later that year I married Anne, a great friend with three sons and moved to Omak, Washington to teach first grade. 12 months later Hannah was born. In 1989 I started teaching evening classes in communications for Wenatchee Valley College which I still enjoy doing today. In 1991, I earned a second masters in education and I began teaching education classes for Heritage University on weekends and some evenings. In 1999, I moved from teaching kindergarten to teaching high school English. I am still at Omak High School. In 2004 I gave up Heritage to became part-time Pastor of two United Methodist Churches in Omak and Conconully and I have continued in that ministry for the past seven years. I have also earned my administrative credential and am a National Board Certified Teacher. I love all three of my jobs. When I am not teaching or preaching, I enjoy fishing, woodworking, gardening, golf, cooking and bicycling. I would love to hear what classmates are up to now.

Mike Slate Michael L. Slate
Army sergeant – chemical biological radiological warfare specialist (what else coming from Richland?). Pay-n-Pak manager and owner of investment business in Moses Lake. Currently I’m a federal officer with Homeland Security in East Wenatchee. I have two daughters – Amber, a pastor, and Michelle, soon to be a teacher. I’m a newlywed, married to Lila Slate from Kent, Wash., on July 19, 2014. We just bought a home near Badger Mountain, Tri-Cities – moving home. We love visiting Hot Springs, live theater, and we enjoy fishing (got any tips?).

Terri Szulinski Terri Szulinski
Just accepted an early out from United Airlines (thank you for paying me to retire early) after 24 years of “Buh Bye” in dozens of languages. Enjoyed being based in Chicago, San Francisco, then finally touching down in Seattle. Yeah, a drastic career change after being a pharmaceutical rep for several years. Elliot and I will celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary soon. We travel the world (once again, thanks to UAL) hiking, diving, sea kayaking, backpacking, cycling ... pretty much anything that gets us outdoors. Have 2 great stepsons. Live on the beach in West Seattle.

Tim Van Doren Tim Van Doren
I graduated from EWU in 1980 with a degree in Education. I've taught for 19 years and currently teach elementary P.E. in Spokane School District. I married Nancy Payne from Livingston, Montana, in 1982. We live in Mead (north of Spokane) and have three children -- Ryan, 17, Kelsey, 12, and Preston, 8. Our lives are filled with the usual baby boomer stuff -- school activities, homeowner projects, going to our son's wrestling and baseball events, and all the sports activities that our two younger kids play. Our schedule occasionally gets out of control but it's a great ride. I don't get back down to Richland much but I run into former Bomber acquaintances several times a year. My daughter recently had a volleyball tournament down in Bomber Gym -- pretty good memories of the green and gold in that place.
